“The Lodge staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great, and the facilities are amazing.”

“I’m so grateful to have the helpful assistance of staff and volunteers at the Wig Service. I feel fortunate to not have the emotional stress from loss of my hair and not having the expense to purchase a wig.”

We are committed to keeping administration costs as low as possible while keeping the highest standards of accountability and transparency.

Just under 90% of your generous donation goes entirely towards Cancer Council WA’s ongoing programs. With the small remaining amount going towards costs, including accounting, occupational health and safety, human resource management, donation processing, contracts administration, and information technology.

These costs enable us to run all aspects of our organisation effectively and accountably.

How do I know you're not a scammer?

From time to time, we will need to communicate with you by phone or email about your Regular Giving donations. Cancer Council WA’s Regular Giving program is identifiable from both our email address (regulargiving@cancerwa.asn.au) and phone number (1300 65 65 85).

For your peace of mind and security, the Australian Government offers some helpful precautions you can take to ensure your Regular Giving is safe and legitimate:

  • If you receive a call purporting to be from a charity, inform them that you will call back. Verify the legitimacy of the call by checking the Charity Register as listed on the Australian Charities and Not-For-Profit Commission website. We then suggest calling back using the listed number.
  • Avoid clicking on links in unsolicited emails and social media posts that may lead to counterfeit or scam websites. Instead, locate the charity's official website through a search engine (e.g. Google) or on the Charity Register.
  • Exercise caution when sharing credit card and bank account details online or through social media.
  • Look for well-established, registered charities conducting verified fundraising campaigns.
